Synopsis
A single woman takes her two sons and moves to a strange town, where they live with her old but energetic and slightly wacko father. The town is almost a port for missing people....murders and disappearances take place every day. And soon her older son, Michael, gets involved with a rowdy gang of young men his age, while his younger brother starts hanging out with two estranged brothers that run the local comic store....and hunt vampires on the side. It isn't long before their next hit is scheduled to be Michael, because whether he knows it or not, that red stuff David gave him wasn't really wine. And he's started wearing sunglasses indoors...and his reflection in the mirror isn't entirely there....

Summary
Definitely one of the best vampire movies ever created, 'The Lost Boys' cleverly twists comedy, drama, and romance into horror. Corey Haim opposite Jason Patric makes for a great combination, and the Frog brothers, played by Feldman and Newlander will make you laugh with their crazy and weird antics. The movie is just done in the right way to catch your interest....and a vampire movie with such an weird plotline has never been done and never will be done again. The soft voices singing the commandments in the background of certain scenes, along with the Doors song 'Strange' lend an eerie air to much of the film, and the wild area in which it takes place is the perfect setting. The film was well thought out, and if you like vampire flicks then this is a great choice.

Reviews

Stygian Films: "The Lost Boys is a fun and oddly compelling movie that should certainly hold one of the top spots in a list of good vampire films. The actors are good, and it's a very well made movie."

Chigaco Sun-Times: "...a cast that's good right down the line and a willingness to have some fun with teenage culture in the Mass Murder Capital."

Leonard Maltin: "Slick movie aimed at juvenile audiences..."

Eopinions: "While you could date the movie on Corey Haim's wardrobe alone, The Lost Boys remains a must-see horror movie for the new Millennium.....Even a decade later it has not fallen onto the horror b-list; the jokes are not relevant to only one time period, the horror is not cheesy, and the characters are contemporary."

Top Movies: "The Lost Boys is a really cool vampire movie from the 80's..."

Movie Thing: "The Lost Boys is very good and I can't imagine anyone other than Kiefer Sutherland in the role of David, the head vampire. This one will definitely go down on my list as one of the most devilishly funny, clever, and scary movies that I've ever seen."
