Synopsis
A business man/computer hacker is about to discover that the world we live in is no more than a crude simulation generated by computers that need to use human beings as batteries to survive. He and the other "real-world" rebels must lead a fight against the machines for control of their own lives.
Summary
Taking special effects to the next level, 'The Matrix' is the one of the most daring and outstanding sci-fi films ever created. As Neo, Keanu Reeves claims his best performance yet, while Fishburne and Moss are aboslutely amazing. The supporting actors fit perfectly into their roles, and the whole idea of the rugged real-world fighters is very appealing. The combination of action and science fiction adds up for a forceful impact, only boosted by the strong performances of everyone on and off the set. Costumes, effects, plot, cinematography.....there's really nothing to complain about in this mind-bashing movie.
