Synopsis
A group of fisherman from Gloucester, Mass. set out on an expedition that would make them more money than they could ever dream of. But two weeks after leaving port, they find themselves caught in an event that had never taken place in recorded history before.....it's the perfect storm, and they're headed straight to the center of it.
Summary
The movie is a little slow to start (not uninteresting, just non-eventful) but once they leave the docks and get onto the ocean things start to really crank up. The action in it is great, and though the huge poster-winning wave may seem a bit fake in previews or pics, it really shocks you on the screen when in context with the whole movie.
Containing an all-star cast led by George Clooney, 'The Perfect Storm' features drama, action and a fair share of comic moments. John Hawke can only be described as "adorable" in this film, and William Fichtner is extremely attractive as his rugged character, Sully. Mark and George make the perfect typical fishermen, ragged but appealing, and Rusty Schwimmer's interaction with Hawke on screen is funny as hell. Despite what many people say, I find this to be a very well-made movie that you definitely don't want to miss.
