Summary
'Very Bad Things' is a very bad movie. It's 'True Romance' all over again....though at least the latter had some cool shoot-out scenes. Slater has been lacking a good performance since 'Interview With the Vampire', and Diaz is much more worth watching in 'There's Something About Mary'. I dunno folks....if you're in the mood for one of those flicks where everyone's gotta die to save ass, then you'll probably like this. If you don't feel like being depressed and disappointed then stay away from this movie. I mean, if you're really truly desperate to see Christian Slater, 'Gleaming the Cube' is an awesome flick, and yes, he's the star. Besides, it was from back when he was a teenager....and he was really cute.

Reviews

Stygian Films: "A decent Christian Slater movie that follows in the footsteps of his earlier True Romance."

Newcity Chicago: "Although Berg clearly delights in shaking off network restrictions, relishing the big screen's freedom to be graphic and outrageous, his imagination and his moral insight seem confined to the platitudes of the tube."

National Critics: "Like most first-time filmmakers, he dearly wants to make a lasting impression and fatally overshoots his target."

Mr. Cranky: "There's something wrong with the tone of this film, not to mention the premise."

Rotten Tomatoes: "But thanks to Peter Berg's unswerving objective to draw ever-moving battle lines in the Nevada sand and California silt, "Very Bad Things" flourishes as a gender-bender whose untenable scenes are oddly believable."

Flick Filosopher: "Very Bad Things is an ugly film about ugly people doing ugly things, and I am ashamed to admit that I actually kinda liked it."
