Synopsis
Millions of years ago an asteroid hit the earth and caused Armageddon, a natural world-wide disaster that remade the planet. Now, years later, Earth is once again in danger of a global killer. Only Harry Stamper and his famous drilling team can fly up to the asteroid, drill deep enough to plant a nuclear bomb, and blow it up before it reaches Earth. But the costs for their mission could be extreme....
Summary
An all-star cast led by Bruce and Ben, 'Armageddon' is full of space action and relationship drama that will keep you interested all the way through. The emotional impact of the movie will hit hard....even for all you hard-assed folks that wouldn't cry if you were shot in the face.
The comedy thrown into certain scenes provides some relief to this intense film. Buscemi's attack of insanity while up on the asteroid is hysterical, as is the part in the beginning where Willis is chasing Affleck with a shotgun. The film is well shot, well acted, and well written - a combination that results in a fantastic film.
