Summary
A pretty cheesy, but somewhat entertaining film, 'Mission to Mars' features an outstanding cast in a silly movie. The set isn't too impressive, though some of the effects definitely have their gripping moments...and the plot had some real highlights (like the mysterious face, which by the way, was really eerie). But in all, the movie was only really saved by such actors as Gary Sinise and Jerry O'Connell, whose acting is always a pleasure, despite all else. Is is a top grade film that you should rush to see? Don't count on it. But would I recommend it? Yeah, if you're in a real science fictional mood...but don't put it at the top of your list. After all, if you're looking for a good Sinise film, there's always Reindeer Games or Ransom.

Reviews
Stygian Films: "Mission to Mars was interesting at some parts, but extremely corny at others. I'd only reccommend it for the awesome cast - Sinise, O'Connell, Robbins, Cheadle, and Nielsen."
E! Online: "...essentially 'Apollo 13 Goes to Mars.'"
Orlando Weekly: "...melodramatic scripting better suited to daytime television."
culturevulture.net: "'Mission to Mars' is not the perfunctory piece of action-packed hackwork one might have expected from the previews. It's more peculiar than awful - though at times, it is awful indeed."
San Jose Mercury News: "Though unapologetically old-fashioned and corny, 'Mission' still has its share of nail-biter moments."
